Young Washington with the Pittsburgh CLO

Feb 28, 2026 - Feb 28, 2026 | 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Heinz History Center
1212 Smallman Street
Pittsburgh, PA 15222

Experience revolutionary history like never before during a performance of the musical, “Young Washington.”

Follow the story of a young George Washington as he journeys through Western Pennsylvania during the French and Indian War, then stick around for a Q&A with the CLO cast and a curator-led tour of the Clash of Empires exhibition. Kids and families can keep the adventure going with a “George Washington Was Here” scavenger hunt throughout the museum.

Following the production, join historic foodways interpreters Erin and Robert Windhorst from Woodville Experience in the Weisbrod Kitchen Classroom for an exploration of food eaten by people of the 18th century.
