A gentle and deeply human story, Where Is the Friend’s House? follows an eight-year-old boy named Ahmad as he sets out on a quiet but determined journey to return a classmate’s lost notebook and spare him from punishment. Directed by Abbas Kiarostami, this first installment of the Koker Trilogy is a small-scale hero’s odyssey that beautifully captures childhood responsibility, moral courage, and everyday life in rural Iran.
