2025 Pittsburgh Great Race (5k-10k)

Sep 28, 2025 - Sep 28, 2025 | 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Great Race Start Line
1940 Beechwood Blvd
Pittsburgh, PA 15217

The annual Richard S. Caliguiri City of Pittsburgh Great Race started in 1977 when former Pittsburgh Mayor Richard S. Caliguiri established the race as a “community fun run.” Since that inaugural competition, nearly half a million people have participated in the Great Race, making the event the largest 10K race in Pennsylvania.

Each year The Great Race donates $1 from every Great Race and Dollar Bank Junior Great Race registration to the Richard S. Caliguiri Amyloidosis Fund, a fund held by the Pittsburgh Foundation that is dedicated to supporting medical research. Back again for 2025 -- $5 from every One GREAT Challenge registration will be donated.

Join the rest of the Pittsburgh community for one GREAT weekend! Bring your little ones to Point State Park for the Dollar Bank Junior Great Race on Saturday, September 27 and then run the 10K or 5K (or both!) on Sunday, September 28, where you will cross the finish line in downtown Pitt
