Off The Record XIX: Heaven Help Us!

Off The Record XIX: Heaven Help Us!, the annual tongue-in-cheek look at the people and events in our Steel City. Off The Record takes the stage on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Byham Theater on Sixth Street in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District. The 19th installment – Heaven Help Us! - will have you literally laughing out loud thanks to the clever work of the professional writers and performers from the Pittsburgh Newspaper Guild (Post-Gazette writers and artists) and SAG-AFTRA’s Ohio-Pittsburgh Local. Members of the two unions work together each year to create a musical satire that spoofs Pittsburgh’s top news and newsmakers to support Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

This year’s production takes our record reign to a new, laughable level. As the show begins, Pittsburgh is hit with a tsunami of Noah proportions and the recently deceased must be sorted among heaven, hell and Kaufmann’s. Some famous Pittsburghers will sit in judgment of the newly departed, including some definite candidates for the bad place.
