But when the story ends, we’re just getting started. Host Alan Olifson (Moth, WordPlay) takes you behind the story, interviewing each storyteller to ask the burning questions you’d ask if you were sitting next to them at the bar. It’s Late Night for the NPR set.
This month’s guests include:
Austin Gohn
Austin Gohn has lived in Pittsburgh for twenty years, and he and his spouse are raising three kids in a house they’re renovating one room at a time in Bellevue. He’s the author of a book about the five searches of young adulthood called A Restless Age, and he’s the pastor of a 127-year-old church—where he gets the chance to tell stories each week. He already had his 15 minutes of fame on The Late Show with Conan O’Brien with the band Rocket Me Nowhere, and regardless of what anyone else thinks, Ewan McGregor said they were brilliant.
Asher O’Briant
Asher O’Briant is a loud and proud advocate for inclusive comedy. His award-winning writing and standup have been heard from NYC, Pittsburgh Pride, to Alaska’s B4UDie Festival. Asher’s honored to perform on shows with talented stars such as Sam Jay, Robbie Hoffman, Billy Porter, and more! Along with a rigorous performance schedule, Asher serves on the PGH Greater Arts Council to make the Burgh’s art scene more accessible for creatives with disabilities, he teaches standup and sketch comedy writing at the downtown Arcade Comedy Theater. With a stacked resume of previous projects to boot, Asher’s become one of the most sought-after standup comedians guaranteed to make yinzers laugh.
