Timbre is a 37-minute piece that fuses together elements of contemporary dance, modern dance, house dance, and pointe work. Timbre has undertones of exploring people’s differences and similarities, while abstractly acknowledging human similarities are more unifying and more consequential than any differences that we may have.

Also, on this program is a new work by Texture Resident Dancer Madeline Kendall. Madeline has choreographed many works for Texture’s WIP choreography project, as well as choreographing for several of Texture main stage shows. For Unyielding Now, she is creating a piece that draws inspiration from the ocean, marine life, and its varied diversity and vibrancy. Madeline has a strong, dynamic presence on stage, plus a thoughtful, detailed eye for creating visual art, which she brings to all her creations and is showcased in her choreography.
