Do you identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color)? Are you interested in beginner-friendly guided kayak trips and spending time in nature? Join our Vice President, Olivia Payne, and other BIPOC individuals on one or all of the paddles in this series. We hope you feel a sense of connection with nature among BIPOC outdoor enthusiasts through kayaking on the beautiful Allegheny River.
Meet at the North Shore where we’ll introduce ourselves and run through the basics of kayaking. Once everyone is equipped with a boat, paddle, and life jacket we’ll paddle out to explore downtown area on the Allegheny River. Ages 3+ can join you on a tandem kayak.
Bring your own kayak or rent one for a reduced rate.
For those bringing their own equipment, please make sure your kayak is in proper working condition and your life jacket is USCG approved.
