FI2019 Closing Celebration: The Space Between

Contemporary Craft (CC) and the Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh are pleased to present The Space Between, a salon-style speaker series, on August 24, 2019 from 2:30 to 4 PM to close CC’s final exhibition in The Strip, Fiberart International 2019 (FI2019). Fiber artists and FI2019 exhibiting artists Jozef Bajus and Erika Diamond will lead an inspiring The Space Between conversation on their artistic processes and engage the attendees in discussions through reflections on their creative journeys. The conversation will be moderated by Rise Nagin and Rae Gold, the Fiberart International Co-Chairs.

This event is free and open to the public, but please RSVP online. Attendees are invited to arrive early to experience the exhibition before the event.

Featured Speakers:

* Jozef Bajus (Buffalo, NY) - An award winning mixed media artist originally from Slovakia. Bajus is also the Associate Professor of Fiber and Design at Buffalo State College.

* Erika Diamond (Charlotte, NC) - Erika Diamond is a textile-focused conceptual artist. She has exhibited nationally and internationally.
