GAMMA Off the Court

The GAMMA Sports story began more than 45 years ago when founder, Dr. Harry Ferrari, a Westinghouse nuclear engineer and avid tennis player, became determined to develop a better tennis string.  And he did! In 1977 the United States Racquet Stringer’s Association rated GAMMA Gut the #1 string where it would remain unbroken for the next 23 years.

From there, GAMMA Sports, a family-run company was born – and they didn’t stop at tennis. Today GAMMA Sports is a leader in everything having to do with “Pickleball” as well! Explore a state-of- the-art research and development lab with onsite courts for tennis and pickleball product testing, and learn even more fun factoids about Pickleball!
