Writer Sherrie Flick will lead this guided hour-and-a-half writing and walking tour that uses the urban environment and rippling water for inspiration. This session will focus on a stretch of the Allegheny River and the North Side neighborhood of Pittsburgh. No experience necessary—just bring your pen, paper, curiosity, and walking shoes.
Sherrie Flick is an award-winning writer, editor, and teacher who loves to walk around. She’s the author of the novel Reconsidering Happiness and two short story collections, Whiskey, Etc. and Thank Your Lucky Stars. Her nonfiction has appeared in Ploughshares, The Wall Street Journal, New England Review, and Creative Nonfiction. Flick writes a monthly gardening column for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and she teaches in the Food Studies and MFA programs at Chatham University. www.sherrieflick.com
