Tekko

Held over the weekend of 7/21-7/24, Tekko is hosted by the Pittsburgh Japanese Culture Society and is a celebration of Japanese anime, manga, pop culture, music, dance, and fashion. We are inclusive of all peoples and their interests, bringing almost 12,000 unique and diverse fans from the immediate area and beyond to the David L Lawrence Convention Center and the City of Pittsburgh.

For 2022, we are excited to announce Bryce Papenbrook and Jeannie Tirado as two of our voice-acting guests (with more announcements to come!). Japanese music artists, NANO and ACME, will perform on Saturday for a live concert free to all attendees and be available for meet and greets at other times during the weekend. We aren't just any old anime convention, though! We host educational and entertaining panel discussions, live concerts, a dance, and run content from morning 'til late night from fans and industry professionals alike. We bring in guests who perform martial arts, anime and gaming voice actors, worldwide fashion designers, and more. Additionally, we choose a unique theme every year to explore new content, such as mythology, mecha, sports, and more.  This makes us one of the most diverse anime and Japanese culture conventions in the country, and we aren't done expanding yet!
