Point Park University's School of Communication will celebrate Myron Cope Day on February 7 by hosting three panels about his time as a communication professional in Pittsburgh.
Bernie Ankney, dean of the School of Communication, and Andrew Conte, director of the Center for Media Innovation, will emcee the panel discussions, which will be held in 200 Lawrence Hall from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Myron Cope Soundalike Competitions
The event will conclude at 12:15 p.m. with two Myron Cope soundalike competitions judged by Greg Brown, Keith Paylo, vice president and dean of students at Point Park, and Kevin Taylor, associate athletic director and director of athletic communications at Point Park.
The first Myron Cope soundalike competition will be for high school students who plan to attend Point Park to study sports communication or broadcasting. The prospective students can win a $500 scholarship for the Fall 2022 semester. Prospective students can enter their Cope soundalike videos by going to YouTube, posting a video, and emailing the link to rankney@pointpark.edu. Five, $500 scholarships will be awarded.
The second Myron Cope soundalike competition will be for people who attend the Myron Cope Day events. The top three Cope soundalikes will win a Point Park sweatshirt. Other contestants will receive a Point Park t-shirt or mug.
