Summer Sidewalk Series: The Changing City
Aug 14, 2021 - Aug 14, 2021 | 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Heinz History Center
1212 Smallman St
Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Join us outside this summer at the History Center’s Penn Avenue lot for family-friendly activities that explore stories from our region!
On Saturday, August 14, explore some of the ways Pittsburgh has changed since its start. Play historic games from the 1700s and create a collage that shows changes in the city from then until now. Explore an important building material from the 1800s, look at images from the 1900s, and imagine what you want Pittsburgh to look like in the future.
LOCATION
This outdoor event will take place in the lot adjacent to the Museum Conservation Center at 1221 Penn Avenue, just around the corner from the History Center’s main entrance on Smallman Street.
ADMISSION
Participation in the Summer Sidewalk Series is FREE for everyone.
Please note that this family-friendly event takes place outdoors. In case of severe inclement weather, the outdoor event will be canceled and activities will be offered indoors (included with regular museum admission). Check the History Center’s website or social media platforms for the most-up-to-date information regarding event cancellations.
