Join DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh and Morton Brown, a local public art aficionado, for this one-of-a-kind tour of Pittsburgh's most striking City parks - Allegheny Commons. On this walking tour, you will explore its history, public art, and amenities. Morton was the City's public art manager from 2009-2015 so you will get first-hand stories regarding the restoration of "Lady Fame", atop the Civil War monument overlooking Lake Elizabeth, the Maine monument, the park's history, and more! Additionally, you will venture into Allegheny Center, to visit sculptures by Syl Damianos, Ned Kahn and others, while learning about the history and exciting rebirth of the Center, Museum Lab, Children's Museum, and Federal Galley!
