It consists of three theatrical sets:
All three sites will be connected via an original spy gadget, the ZebraCom, which will come online in mid-March 2017. With maximum potential for sneaking, lurking, surprising and chatting, the project flips the conventional logic that spying is bad, and shows that spying can be fun, friendly and intelligent.
The film Ice Station Zebra (1968) featured Cold War spies on and under the ice cap searching for a crashed satellite capsule full of secrets and trading intelligence.
Emily has been working on Ice Station Zebra since 2014 and this is one of the many milestones of its journey. Her process has been captured on her Facebook page.
The F.I.N.E. Art Residency is supported by the Fine Foundation.
