Stand Up for Standing Firm Luncheon

Join Women's Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh (WC&S) on Tuesday, October 30, from 11AM – 2PM at the Omni William Penn Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh to learn about the forward-thinking action steps taken by the Employer of the Year: KOPPERS; and the great contributions to Standing Firm made by WC&S's Champion awardees (to be announced).

WC&S's Keynote speaker, Janine Latus, is an award-winning journalist, advocate, and author of her sister’s memoir, If I Am Dead or Missing: A Sister’s Story of Love, Murder and Liberation. She shares her own and others’ powerful, sobering and inspirational stories that highlight the importance of a focus on partner violence at work and on the availability of services in the community for those involved in violent relationships. The title of her remarks will be: “The Price of Fear: My Sister’s Story and What it Cost her Company”.
