Arcade Comedy Theater is celebrating Black History Month with its newly updated mission statement in mind: inspiring joy and nurturing community-building by connecting artists and audiences with the dynamic art form of comedy. Starting February 4 and spanning the entire month, Arcade will be centering Black voices in comedy with a virtual staged reading series, a stand-up comedy roast, storytelling, improv, and sketch shows.
An ensemble cast of local actors presents a staged reading homage mash-up about the Black college experience. Inspired by The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and The Carmichael Show. Produced by Ryan Canty and Nia Johnson.
