Third Annual August Wilson Birthday Celebration

Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to view captivating performances of select passages from Wilson's play, King Hedley II, on a stage in the backyard of the August Wilson House. The birthday festivities will also include live music, dance and spoken word performances on a second stage. From 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., renowned DJ Selecta will pump up the party with music along with radio station WAMO-FM as they host a live remote onsite. Don't miss this community celebration featuring children and family activities, food trucks and exhibitors, artists, a photo booth, community partners and numerous other displays.
