An Evening with Mark Whitaker

Join the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and PNC for a provocative Black History Month town hall event featuring a conversation between two nationally prominent journalists -- former Newsweek editor Mark Whitaker and PG executive editor David Shribman. Together the pair will discuss Mr. Whitaker’s new history of black Pittsburgh, his upcoming book “Smoketown,” and the rich history of African Americans in Southwestern PA. “Smoketown” will be available for purchase at the event through the Heinz History Center. Don’t miss the chance to hear from the author of what is certain to be a landmark book!
