Small Business Saturday

Shop Small! As a Neighborhood Champion, The PDP will promote Downtown’s small businesses through American Express’s Small Business Saturday taking place on November 25 (the day after Black Friday). On Small Business Saturday, the PDP will have a table at the Peoples Gas Holiday Market™ in Market Square starting at 11:00 a.m. where Shop Small swag will be handed out to shoppers.

This year, the PDP will be giving shoppers a little extra incentive to visit all of their favorite places — a shopping passport! We will be handing out neighborhood passports for shoppers to get stamped every time they visit a new small business. When they shop at other places later in the day, that stamp could get them something special, like a discount.
