Kick Off to Summer Free Day with Allegheny Solar Fest

Join the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh and the Solar Unified Network of Western Pennsylvania (SUNWPA) for the 3rd annual Allegheny SolarFest, a 100 percent solar-powered event. Celebrate the power of the sun and find out how to go solar.

Enjoy free Museum admission all day long and engage with over 20 solar energy companies, vendors, and experts in the Buhl Community Park, featuring an electric vehicle car show, food trucks, music, and information on solar, energy efficiency, solar-powered aquaponics, efficient solar home design, community solar projects and ways to strengthen Pennsylvania’s renewable energy laws.

• 10:00am - 3:00pm: Allegheny SolarFest 2017 in Buhl Community Park
• 10:00am - 4:00pm: Have a Modern Art Experience with New York based Pop Artist, Michael Albert in Buhl Community Park. Autographed posters while supplies last. Visit Michael at: www.michaelalbert.com
• 10:00am - 4:30pm: Explore light and dark with high contrast art making in the Art Studio
• 10:00am - 4:30pm: Build with natural materials in MAKESHOP
