Heinz History Center
1212 Smallman Street
Pittsburgh, PA 15222

Join the History Center for a reading, discussion, and book signing with Gabby Means, author of “The Decade,” and her grandfather, Dom DiSilvo, the former proprietor of the Decade Bar in Oakland. Described as “an oasis of live rock and blues music in the1970s to the early 1990s,” The Decade was an intimate and artfully grimy establishment. It held about 400 people and legendary acts such as The Police, U2, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and The Ramones played gigs there.

The event is part of the Books in the ‘Burgh literary series. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
