WWI 360: Teach Like An Ace

Join History Center educators, curators, and local experts for workshops and educational sessions designed to connect local educators with the museum’s exhibits. All workshops include a classroom resource guide with lesson plans and a boxed meal. Pre-registration is required and space can be reserved online.

WWI 360: Teach Like An Ace

Act 48 Hours: 6 hours
Audience: 5th-12th grade educators interested in integrating WWI into the humanities
Cost: Free. Registration costs covered with generous appreciation to the U.S. World War One Centennial Commission.

Presented by the National WWI Museum and Memorial and sponsored by the U.S. World War One Centennial Commission, this one-day workshop offers a blend of meaningful content and primary-source focused methods for teaching WWI and its enduring impact. Learn to debunk common WWI misconceptions, how to teach beyond the Western Front and why we need to teach WWI now more than ever.

Participants will receive:

  • Six Act 48 hours
  • Cross-curricular teaching resources from the collection of the National WWI Museum and Memorial including:
    • Copyright-free image, audio and document primary source sets
    • Historical deliberation discussion guides
    • Ready-to-use lesson plans with media enhancement opportunities for 1:1 classroom
    • Student activities aligned with educational standards
  • Catered lunch and lots of coffee
