Feelings and Feelings: Connecting with Students through Texture

For K12 Educators: In this workshop, participants will experience an entire unit of lesson plans in three hours of learning and creating. Activities will include clay pinch pot figures, texture rubbings, and activities to develop connections between textures and emotions. There will also be an extension activity to create a larger group art piece that would be easily translated into each educator's school community. While appropriate and engaging for all learners, this workshop provides activities and techniques that will be especially beneficial for students on the autism spectrum.
