This workshop will teach us to explore our biases as educators, the things that we have been taught & how it affects the world through the view of a black & brown child. Participants will engage in discussion and practice around several topics, including personal background, racial childhood trauma, microaggressions, and criminalization of Black children in education to help them understand how to be better allies and advocates to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) children in their classrooms. Breakfast provided and Act 48 credits available.
