Everyone is invited to join the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Associate Conductor Andrés Franco and special guest host Rick Sebak for an exploration into music, art, technology, and creativity. What can you dream up?

Heinz Hall will be your "Imagination Destination"!

This family-friendly concert is designed for patrons of all ages and abilities and will be presented in a welcoming, inclusive and relaxed environment! We especially invite individuals with sensory sensitivities, those on the autism spectrum, and anyone who wants to freely express themselves and have fun!

Imagination Destination needs your creativity. Send us your art!
On April 14th at the Imagination Destination concert, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will perform a program of music to guide us on a journey to many destinations.  We will use our imaginations to soar through outer space, walk with the dinosaurs, fly across the sky, explore under water, and more!  Share what you imagine at one of our destinations by submitting artwork inspired by the “Main Theme” from Jurassic Park.

Send us your original artwork, created with any medium, on paper no larger than 11x17. We may share your work or photos of your work, as well as stories about your dinosaurs, on the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Instagram account. Photos of select submissions may also be projected on the big screen at Heinz Hall during the Imagination Destination concert!  Here’s how - follow these simple directions:

- Listen to the “Main Theme” from Jurassic Park and use your imagination. (Listen to the sound clip below)

- Create your own dinosaur. Name your dinosaur and tell us about its special qualities.

- Complete the dinosaur Imagination Destination Artwork Submission Form and send it to the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra with your artwork and story.

To participate, please fill out one copy of our Imagination Destination Artwork Submission Form for each piece of artwork you create, enclose a completed copy of the form (two-sided) in a single package with your artwork, and mail the package to us or drop it off at the following address:

Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra
Learning and Community Engagement Department
Heinz Hall, 600 Penn Avenue

Everyone is welcome to join in the fun, but packages containing artwork and accompanying forms must be postmarked or dropped off by Wednesday, April 4, 2018 to be featured on the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Instagram account and considered for display at Heinz Hall during Imagination Destination. Submissions will not be mailed back to participants but they will be available for pickup at the Concierge Desk after the Imagination Destination concert on Saturday, April 14, 2018.

Please email education_outreach@pittsburghsymphony.org if you have questions about the artwork submission process.
