For more than two decades, visitors’ behaviors in museums have been examined. Studies have shown that some visitors enjoy reading the history of different exhibits, while others prefer the interactive hands-on exhibits. Join Dr. James Schreiber, Duquesne University professor, as he dives into the discussion of the visitor experience through his work in psychology, social psychology, and neuroscience. During his presentation, Schreiber will talk about how visitors have different personalities and how those personalities fit into different categories or “modes” of behavior, and if they can be “flipped” into thinking about an exhibit in a new light.
