Route 22/30/60 Steubenville Pike/Lincoln Highway Shoulder Restrictions Begin

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing occasional shoulder restrictions on Route 22/30/60 (Steubenville Pike/Lincoln Highway) in Robinson Township, Allegheny County, will begin Wednesday, April 8 weather permitting.

Starting Wednesday, construction equipment will be unloaded in the median area requiring short-term shoulder closures as needed on Route 22/30/60 (Steubenville Pike/Lincoln Highway) between Montour Church Road and Campbells Run Road from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM through Wednesday, April 22 in preparation of future project work


I-376 Fort Pitt Tunnel, Bridge Overnight Restrictions Next Week in Pittsburgh

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing overnight restrictions on I-376 (Fort Pitt Tunnel, Fort Pitt Bridge) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will occur Monday through Thursday night, April 6-9 weather permitting.

I-376 restrictions will occur as needed nightly from 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM Monday through Thursday in the following locations:

  • I-376 in the eastbound (inbound) direction from the West End (Exit 69C) exit, through the Fort Pitt Tunnel and Fort Pitt Bridge, to the Grant Street (Exit 71A) exit – single-lane closure
  • I-376 in the westbound (outbound) direction from the Grant Street on-ramp, across the lower deck of the Fort Pitt Bridge to the West End (Exit 69C) exit – single lane closure

Additionally, a full closure will occur on the on-ramp from Route 837 (West Carson Street) to the eastbound (inbound) upper deck of the Fort Pitt Bridge. Traffic will be detoured.

  • Continue southbound on West Carson Street (Route 837)
  • Turn left onto the South 10th Street Bridge
  • Turn left onto Second Avenue
  • Turn left onto B Street
  • Turn right onto First Avenue
  • Turn left onto Grant Street
  • Turn right onto Fort Pitt Boulevard
  • Turn right onto Commonwealth Place and follow back to the Boulevard of the Allies or Liberty Avenue
  • End detour

To Eastbound I-376 (Parkway East)

  • Continue southbound on West Carson Street (Route 837)
  • Turn left onto the South 10th Street Bridge
  • Turn right onto Second Avenue
  • Turn left onto Bates Street
  • Turn right onto the ramp to East 376
  • Merge onto eastbound (outbound) I-376
  • End detour

To I-279

  • Continue southbound on West Carson Street (Route 837)
  • Turn left onto the South 10th Street Bridge
  • Turn left onto Second Avenue
  • Turn left onto B Street
  • Turn right onto First Avenue
  • Turn left onto Grant Street
  • Turn right onto Fort Pitt Boulevard
  • Bear left onto the ramp to I-279
  • End detour

PennDOT crews will conduct overhead sign replacement work and NBIS will perform bridge inspections.


Route 51 Coraopolis Road Restrictions Begin Monday in Robinson Township

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing lane restrictions on Route 51 (Coraopolis Road) under Interstate 79 in Robinson Township, Allegheny County will begin Monday, April 6 weather permitting.

Route 51 between the northbound and southbound on-ramps at the I-79 Coraopolis/McKees Rocks interchange in Robinson Township will be reduced to a single-lane of traffic in each direction from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM weekdays, as needed, through late April. Crews will conduct painting repair work.

This work is part of the $43.9 million I-79 “S-Bend” Project that included full-depth pavement reconstruction, and bridge preservation work. Additionally, there was milling and paving of three ramps at the Route 51 (Coraopolis/McKees Rocks) interchange. The project also included guiderail replacement, highway lighting and signing upgrades, new pavement markings and delineation, and other miscellaneous construction work.


US 22 Lane Restrictions Begin Monday in North Fayette Township

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing single-lane restrictions on US 22 in North Fayette Township, Allegheny County will begin Monday, March 30 weather permitting.

Single-lane restrictions will occur on US 22 in both directions between the Imperial and Hankey Farms interchanges from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM weekdays through mid-April. Crews from ArchKey Solutions will conduct traffic monitoring equipment installation work.


I-376 Parkway West Overnight Lane Closures Begin Monday in Allegheny County

PennDOT District 11 is announcing overnight lane closures on I-376 (Parkway West) in Collier, Robinson, North Fayette, Moon, and Findlay townships, Allegheny County, will begin Monday night, March 30 weather permitting.

Starting Monday, an overnight single-lane restriction will occur as needed in both directions on I-376 between the Pittsburgh International Airport (Exit 53) and the Erie/Washington/I-79 (Exit 64A) interchanges nightly from 9:00 PM through 5:00 AM through Friday, April 24. Crews will conduct pavement marking work between the Airport (Exit 53) and Ridge Road (Exit 61) interchanges, and will conduct drainage, shoulder, and signage improvement work between the Ridge Road (Exit 61) and Erie/Washington/I-79 (Exit 64A) interchanges.


Eastbound I-376 Parkway West Shoulder Restriction Next Week Pittsburgh

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing an overnight shoulder restriction on eastbound (inbound) I-376 (Parkway West) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Monday through Thursday, March 30-April 2 weather permitting.

A shoulder restriction will occur on eastbound I-376 between the West End (Exit 69C) interchange and the Fort Pitt Tunnel from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday through Thursday. Crews from the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy will conduct landscaping operations.


Route 3104 McKees Rocks Bridge Lane Restrictions Begin Monday in McKees Rocks

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing lane restrictions on the McKees Rocks Bridge (Route 3104) in McKees Rocks Borough, Allegheny County, will occur begin Monday, March 16 weather permitting.

Starting at approximately 7:00 AM Monday, traffic on the McKees Rocks Bridge will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between the Helen Street ramps around-the-clock through mid-April. A single lane of traffic will remain open in each direction at all times. Crews from Allison Park Contractors, Inc. will conduct steel beam repair work on the bridge.
