Skip the lines at the mall this Black Friday, and stop by the Mattress Factory for a day of family-friendly, hands-on activities and three buidlings of installation art. Family Day activities have something for everyone and will include zine making, face painting by Rikki, early learner explorations, teen activities, a hot chocolate bar and music courtesy of DJ Dave Zak.
Aside from a fun way to spend the day after Thanksgiving, Family Day also gives guests the opportunity to learn more about the Mattress Factory’s regular educational programming. Each of the Family Day activity stations will reflect a different program, including ArtLab, INSTALL: Afternoons @ The Factory and Teen Art Cooperative.
Family Day is generously supported by the Allegheny Regional Asset District, an Anonymous Donor, Benter Foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, The Jack Buncher Foundation, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Education, Grable Foundation, The Heinz Endowments Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Roy A. Hunt Foundation, Snee-Reinhardt Charitable Foundation, and Mattress Factory Board of Directors, Factory Fellows and Museum Members.
