What is the Pittsburgh Tech Crawl?

Explore some of the coolest tech businesses throughout this great city of ours, pub-crawl style!

This FREE neighborhood focused Build412 Tech event series will open the doors to some of Pittsburgh’s most interesting tech companies, as well as some of the largest tech employers in the city. Additional Tech Crawl neighborhoods, dates and participating tech businesses to be announced soon (fyi we'll soon be checking out the Strip District, Lawrenceville, East End, South Side, etc)...but for now, we are getting started with:  Downtown Pittsburgh! 

When is the Pittsburgh Tech Crawl - Downtown?

Thursday, Oct 10th

5pm - 7pm – Tech Crawl

The Tech Crawl is a walking and/or biking open-house tour with no set order. Offices will be open until 7:00 pm. Explore them at your leisure, Pub-Crawl Style.

7pm - 9pm – After Party Tech Networking Event!

Directly following the Tech Crawl, after you’ve had your fill of checking out some super cool Downtown Tech Business offices, join us for the After Party Tech Networking Event from 7pm-9pm (Venue To Be Announced).

How does it work?

All participating tech business locations will be open to the Tech Crawl attendees 5pm - 7pm and you can explore them at your leisure - Pub-Crawl Style! The After Party will directly follow the Tech Crawl 7pm - 9pm.

Step 1: REGISTER. It's free, so register now for your All Access Pass here on Eventbrite. This will get your name pre-registered for a variety of building security entry points and will help expedite your entry to a variety of locations. You will still need to bring your photo ID with you for entry to some locations.

Step 2: ARRIVE. When you arrive Downtown, get started by visiting any of the Featured Tech Stop locations to Pick up your official Tech Crawl Map (Featured Tech Stops To Be Announced). Additional information about all event logistics will be announced soon (a list of all the participating tech business locations, Tech Crawl Map locations, featured Tech Crawl Stops, After Party Venue location, etc).

Step 3: CRAWL. Meet the companies and fellow tech travelers on the crawl as you wind your way through the city to see all the spots that interest you. Companies will be showing off their spaces, featuring job opportunities, giving away swag, prizes, refreshments and more...as well as giving you an inside look at what they are doing in the Pgh Tech scene RIGHT NOW!

Step 4: NETWORK. Directly following the Tech Crawl, after you’ve had your fill of checking out some super cool Downtown Tech Business offices, join us for the After Party from 7pm-9pm (Venue To Be Announced). Food and Drinks will be available and you can hang with the city’s most interesting tech leaders, businesses, startups, and tech professionals who will be available for networking and all around great conversation. You don't want to miss this!
