Pittsburgh Improv Jam

The Pittsburgh Improv Jam is a night of spontaneous, comedic scenes inspired by audience suggestions and performed by experienced improvisers. Every Thursday Improv Jam opens with a quick, high-energy round of speed freeze to loosen everyone up. A featured team of professional improvisers takes the stage next, getting a single word from the audience and promptly blowing everyone's minds for 20 minutes, or however long a good mind-blowing takes that night. Then, like a comedic amoeba, the pros divide and absorb other improvisers on the way to becoming two separate and distinctly-attired Jam teams. Finally, those and other performers are brought to the stage for The Steel City Set!
