HANDMADE ARCADE, Pittsburgh's first and largest independent craft fair, is celebrating its 15th anniversary on Saturday, December 7, 2019, from 11 AM to 7 PM, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in the heart of Downtown.
The region's leading holiday marketplace for handmade goods, Handmade Arcade will showcase 250 cutting-edge, craft-based makers, designers and artists from all over Pittsburgh, Western Pennsylvania and the United States.
FREE and open to all, Handmade Arcade will also feature a Hands-on Handmade Activity Area for all ages, fabulous art raffles, a Framer’s Market hosted by the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, a Youth Maker Alley showcasing young makers ages 16-18, a Craft Corridor highlighting emerging local makers, music by local DJs Pete Spynda (Pandemic), Stephanie Tsong (Jellyfish) and Dave Zak, a brand new Pop-up Makers Mart for young entrepreneurs in grades 3-12, and more!
Named one of the "Top 35 Craft Fairs in the World" by BuzzFeed, Handmade Arcade’s award-winning marketplace is the region’s most anticipated shop-small, buy-local event. In 2018, Handmade Arcade was voted the 3rd Best Annual Convention in Pittsburgh City Paper’s poll and was featured in the Pittsburgh Business Times’ Top 10 list of “Largest Area Public Shows.”
Handmade Arcade’s thoughtfully curated marketplace offers an authentic and engaging shopping experience featuring innovative, affordable and hand-crafted products made by some of the country’s leading crafters — who are all on hand to talk with attendees about their creative process, innovative product lines and cutting-edge techniques. Vendors represent a diverse range of experiences and backgrounds, including first-time sellers, emerging and national makers, students in grades 3-12, returning favorites and others.Products for sale at Handmade Arcade span the following categories: accessories; original artwork; prints; bath and body products; clothing for adults and children; children’s products; pet products; housewares and home goods; jewelry; paper goods; toys; and more! Offering something for every taste and budget, prices typically range from $3 to $250. Committed to showcasing handmade goods — many integrating upcycled, sustainable, found, locally-sourced and eco-friendly materials — Handmade Arcade takes place inside the world’s first green convention center, which is easily accessible by car, bike and public transportation.
Handmade Arcade celebrates the cutting edge of craft by connecting creators and consumers through making, sharing, and learning.
