Harris Theater
809 Liberty Ave
Pittsburgh, PA 15222

24: Survive to Drive follows the Donut Pass Me crew as they embark on their biggest challenge yet: a full 24 hour race. Armed with nothing but an automatic PT Cruiser, a dream, and copious amounts of caffeine, they must race against time, opponents, and sleep deprivation. The only rule is keep the car on track.

This featured film will be preceeded by the following short films: Path Less Paved (7mins): After a long and decorated career at the top level of professional road racing, Svein Tuft seeks out new adventures by bike. Spawning from tales of childhood wanderlust, Svein searches for simplicity in life away from the travel and high-pressure racing world to get a new sense of normal. From short family outings to grand adventures deep into the Canadian Rockies, Svein is inspired by two-wheel adventuring and finding the path less paved. Heaven On Earth (15 mins ): Highland Park Tennis Club has been offering free summer lessons since 2000 in an effort to expand the sport to those who cannot afford it. "Heaven on Earth" follows the club as they prepare for the beginning of the 2023 season. META (20 mins): On June 28, 1870, Meta Brevoort embarked on a daring quest to become the first to summit La Meije in the Dauphiné Alps. Opting for the prominent peak Doigt de Dieu, her party realised too late that the true summit, Grand Pic de la Meije, stood just a few meters higher. An impassable knife-edged ridge thwarted their final ascent. Despite this, reaching Doigt de Dieu was a remarkable achievement, one many deemed impossible. Meta Brevoort emerged as a trailblazing pioneer in alpinism, conquering numerous peaks and shattering societal and gender norms. In a thrilling homage to Brevoort, modern-day climber Maria Granberg retraces her steps, scaling La Meije and delving into the rich legacy of a woman unjustly overlooked in mountaineering history. This film captures the spirit of adventure, the challenge of the climb, and the relentless pursuit of dreams against all odds. Join Maria as she explores the life and legacy of one of alpinism’s greatest pioneers.
