Jazz influences continue in Ravel’s Concerto for the Left Hand - written for a pianist injured in the First World War performed here by the extraordinary pianist Cédric Tiberghien. Poulenc’s Suite from Les biches (The Does) was originally written for Serge Diaghilev and his famous “Ballet Russe”.
