Since moving to Pittsburgh in 2021, Pat has performed with his quartet and sextet at Con Alma and Manchester Craftmen’s Guild. He is excited to be involved in an upcoming innovative project with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's Education Department, debuting in city high schools in Spring 2024. As a drummer/percussionist/educator and multi-instrumentalist (piano, flute and technology), Pat brings a wealth of experience to his many creative endeavors. While living in the NYC area, Pat played drums and percussion on more than 20 Broadway shows and performed at landmark NY venues including Radio City Music Hall and Lincoln Center. As an ASCAP composer and music producer, Pat O’Donnell has earned multiple Emmy Nominations for his work in network television. His music can be heard daily on such diverse shows as NBC Sports, House Hunters and Blue Bloods.
His song “Oh Maria” is currently featured in the 2023 Searchlight Film “Flamin’ Hot”.
Pat’s signature jazz ensemble ‘The Pat O’Donnell Group” has opened for many National contemporary acts including Tower of Power, Rippingtons, David Benoit and Gato Barbieri. Pat’s latest group recording ”For My Friends”, on the Cat’s Paw label, features saxophonist Bob Mintzer. Pat O’Donnell is a Yamaha performing artist and endorses Sabian cymbals and Remo drumheads.
