This is one of the most beloved, most passionate Piano Concertos in the entire repertoire. Jan Lisiecki joins the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra to perform Grieg’s Piano Concerto. “Perhaps the most complete pianist of his age,” according to BBC Music Magazine. And guest conductor Pablo Heras-Casado leads Brahms’ lyrical Second Symphony, and opens with an overture by Louise Farrenc, who defied France’s conservatories to become one of the most brilliant composers of her generation.
