Aug 27, 2021 - Aug 27, 2021 | 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Allegheny Overlook
Fort Duquesne Blvd & 6th street
Pittsburgh, PA 15222

Interested in getting outside and doing some creative urban exploring this summer? Writer Sherrie Flick will lead three guided hour-and-a-half writing and walking tours that use the urban environment for creative inspiration. Each session will focus on a different theme; the theme for this walk will be water, shape, and color. No experience necessary—just pen, paper, curiosity, and walking shoes.

Sherrie Flick is an award-winning writer, editor, and teacher who loves to walk around. She’s the author of the novel Reconsidering Happiness and two short story collections, Whiskey, Etc. and Thank Your Lucky Stars. Her nonfiction has appeared in Ploughshares, The Wall Street Journal, Creative Nonfiction, and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. She teaches in the Food Studies and MFA programs at Chatham University and is co-editor for Flash Fiction America, (W.W. Norton 2022).
