Tania Grubbs: I AM, Volume 2 Flight

Join for an evening of original jazz with vocalist Tania Grubbs. 

I AM: Volume 2, Flight is an exploration of ornithology and how birds and their unique songs and rhythmic patterns reflect and inspire music. The concert will feature some familiar tunes with birds and flight as the subject as well as a few original compositions.

Tania will debut a musical adaptation set the the poetry of Emily Dickinson poem “Hope is Thing Like Feathers” and a blues she has written entitled “Pigeoning”.

Tania Grubbs is a jazz vocalist who brings a fresh approach to the great American song book. Singing as long as she can remember, Tania has been a featured vocalist with the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra, the Voices of the Boca Pops Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. She has performed with the Civic Light Opera, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust “Jazzlive” series, and The Pittsburgh Jazz Society.
