Youth Workshop Series: 3D Printing

Mar 31, 2019 - Mar 31, 2019 | 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Children's Museum Pittsburgh
10 Children's Way
Allegheny Square
Pittsburgh, PA 15222

Explore 3D printing and the technology that allows us to control it. Participants will be working with a free, browser-based platform TinkerCAD, to design our own models from scratch. You will be able to see 3D printing in action and look at our collection of 3D printed objects big and small. The objects that we will be modelling will not be printed and ready to take home by the end of the workshop. Please bring a self-addressed envelope or come back and pick up your object within 30 days of the workshop.

Workshops are $5 per participant and advanced registration is required. Click here to register.

Museum admission is NOT required to attend the workshop.  Participants may be dropped off by a parent or guardian in the Museum lobby and will be escorted to the workshop by a Museum staff member after their registration has been verified.  After the workshop is over, participants can be picked up in the Museum lobby. Museum admission must be purchased if participant plans to visit the Museum before or after the duration of the workshop.
