Reni (Irene) Monteverde is excited to bring together a group of versatile and energetic musicians to engage the audience in what she can only describe as a collage of sound, mixing rhythms inspired by her mentors in the Latin-Salsa and Jazz traditions. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Jazz Studies at the University of Pittsburgh where her research focuses on the legendary Pittsburgh pianist, Erroll Garner (1921-1977). She had the privilege of accompanying the late Director of Jazz Studies, Geri Allen, on a two-week European tour with Enrico Rava in May of 2017.
