World Refugee Day

On Wednesday, June 20, please join us at the annual World Refugee Day celebration in Market Square from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Performers include lively drummers and dancers, a Boy Scout Color Guard Flag ceremony, the Blackhawk High School Choir, and more.  This year’s festivities will also include international food and artisan booths and activities for children, as well as a citizenship oath ceremony.

JFCS is proud to organize this event in collaboration with many community partners: Northern Area Multi-Service Center (NAMS); All for All; Acculturation for Justice, Access and Peace Outreach (AJAPO); COMPASS AmeriCorps; Catholic Charities, Diocese of Pittsburgh; Literacy Pittsburgh; CBS Pittsburgh; Red Cross of Western PA; No One Left Behind – Pittsburgh Chapter and South Hills Interfaith Movement (SHIM).
