412 Food Rescue and the Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue Team food distribution at Heinz Field

412 Food Rescue in conjunction with the USDA'a Farmers to Families program joins forces with PAART - Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue Team - to distribute food boxes and pet food!

We are in need of volunteers to lift and load 30 lb. food boxes and up to 50lb. pet food bags into peoples' cars, and assist with walk-up requests. This is a very special way to ensure that the food our farmers grow make it to those in need and families to help care for their pets.

You will be walking and lifting 30 - 50 lb. boxes repeatedly during the course of your shift, so dress comfortably and be prepared for lots of movement!

Volunteers should arrive at 10:45am for the food distribution that begins at 12pm.
