Pokémon Championship Series

The 2023-24 Pokémon Championship series, leading to the Pokémon World Championships in Honolulu, Hawaii, is currently underway and its next stop in North America is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The David L Lawrence Convention Center (1000 Fort Duquesne Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA) is the setting for Pokémon Regional Championships Pittsburgh on September 8-10, 2023.

Competitors compete for up to $65,000 in prizes, scholarships and gift cards (based on attendance) as well coveted Championship Points for an invitation to the World Championship. Tournaments for this event are Pokémon Go! Video Game and the Trading Card Game. Competitors bring their own competition ready Pokémon Go! Team, Video Game Team or 60-card deck and get ready to battle!

In addition to championship tournaments, there will be Side Events for all ages and skill levels, First Step (learn to play) Retro Pokémon video games, live stream, vendors and other activations.

Fans of all ages can visit First Step and receive extra goodies when learning to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Everyone is welcome to try one of the retro gaming consoles in our Free Play area. Lots of vendors have all sorts of Pokémon goodies, and you can even bring your cards to sell to the vendors!
