Yoga in the Square

Pittsburgh’s favorite public yoga series brings some of the city’s best instructors into Downtown for two weekly classes held in the middle of picturesque Market Square.

Classes are free, but please, bring your own mat!

As Yoga in the Square is an outdoor event, classes are weather permitting. In the case of rain, classes may be moved indoors to Etage Athletic Club (422 Stanwix St.) More info.

Things to Do Before
and After Yoga

Looking to keep the fun going? Explore Downtown before or after your class by shopping a variety of small businesses all within a short walk of Market Square. And, enjoy delicious food and drinks with the guide to brunch and the guide to outdoor dining in Downtown.

Alternate Location: Etage Athletic Club

In the case of inclement weather Yoga in the Square will be moved to indoors to Etage Athletic Club.

  • Club address: Etage Athletic Club, 422 Stanwix St. Pittsburgh, PA 15222
  • Walking directions from Market Square: Take Forbes Ave towards Stanwix St, turn left on Stanwix, walk past the Rite Aid and the hotel, the entrance to Etage Athletic Club will be on your left. Press the intercom button next to the door to enter. 
  • Directions to the Main Studio: From the front desk, take the stairs behind the desk to the second floor. The Main Studio will be straight ahead at the top of the stairs.
  • Directions to the Yoga Studio: Walk past the front desk towards the coolers, turn left, the Yoga studio will be straight ahead, next to the Cycle studio.
  • Parking: they validate parking in the garage for up to 3 hours. If you park in the garage, take the elevator down to the hotel lobby, exit the building through the front door, turn left, and press the intercom button next to the club front door to enter. Be sure to bring your parking ticket with you and present it to the front desk staff for validation before leaving. 
  • Please sign this waiver prior to the class (waiver is for sessions held in Etage only).
