Transportation

No car? No problem! There are many ways to get around the neighborhood. Downtown is roughly one square mile, making it about a 20-minute walk from one side to the other. Looking to ride in style? Check out some of our favorite alternative transportation options:

  • Bus – Download the Transit App to see when the next bus is coming. All 61 Lines, 71 Lines, and the 77 can take you back to Oakland from Downtown.
  • City Bikes – Bike PGH! Download the bike map to see the best routes for navigating Downtown and biking back to Oakland.
  • POGOH – Rent a bike around the city for a fun way to get around.
  • Spin Scooters – Download the app to scoot around the city for fun and convenient travel!
  • The T – Take the T and ride for free! The Free Fare T Zone includes First Avenue Station, Steel Plaza, Wood Street Station, and Gateway; North Side Station, and Allegheny Station.
