The Clean & Safe program is one of the most visible, and highly acclaimed of the PDP’s initiatives.

Our Clean and Street teams help keep Downtown’s sidewalks and streets free of litter and debris and complement the presence of the Pittsburgh Police. Of course, keeping our Downtown neighborhood clean and safe is a shared responsibility, and we work with local property owners, merchants and partners like the Department of Public Works, Pittsburgh School District police and the Port Authority to help maintain a cohesive effort.

PDP VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Volunteer Saturdays", a fun program designed to get out and about in Downtown and help keep our neighborhood clean and attractive. Our Clean Team already does an excellent job keeping Downtown clean and beautiful, we're just looking for some helping hands to provide some extra pizzaz to the city's stunning landscape.

The program has really taken off since its inception this past spring. It's grown from just a few eager beavers sprucing up Downtown, to groups of over 60 or more, pulling weeds, painting over graffiti and tidying-up the grassy areas along the bridges. The project manager is flexible, and will gladly custom-tailor projects to fit your groups needs. Interested?
