Milk Shake Factory to open in new PNC Plaza, Downtown

By Mark Belko / Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Downtown workers and residents looking to satisfy their sweet tooth soon will have another option.

The Milk Shake Factory, operated by South Side-based Edward Marc Chocolatier, will open in the first quarter of 2016 in the new Tower at PNC Plaza, the bank announced today. It will occupy a 2,135-square-foot retail space on Fifth Avenue.

It will be the Milk Shake Factory's first shop Downtown. It also has a South Side location.

The shop will be open to the public and will offer milk shakes, gourmet chocolates, sundaes, chocolate fondue, Italian cream sodas, hot chocolate, and old-fashion fountain drinks.

"PNC expects the Milk Shake Factory to become a downtown destination, attracting tourists and residents alike and further driving traffic to the Fifth Avenue and Wood Street corridor," the bank said in a statement.
