With the potential of a transit strike looming, the Allegheny Conference, in partnership with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, announced a new Website-www.KeepPittsburghMoving.com to provide employers with resources to help them prepare in the event of a transit shutdown. Site features include an employee transit survey, risk assessment matrix, contingency planning checklist and information about carpooling through Commuteinfo.org. If the Port Authority and its unions are unable to reach an agreement on a new union contract, the union can strike without notice.
