During this presentation, volunteers from the American Red Cross will educate the participants on the importance of preparedness before and during a hazardous situation with the three main guiding steps; getting a kit assembled (discussing what should go in each kit and its importance); making a plan (a plan involving escape routes in the time of emergency, emergency numbers, and community disaster plans); and being informed (involving community hazard assessment.)
