19th Annual Champions for Children

Dollars raised at this worthwhile event support our quality programs for children and youth experiencing homelessness in Pittsburgh. Last year, over 3,000 children and youth were identified as homeless in Allegheny County. Through shelter and community-based programs, scholarships, enrichment programming, and mini grants, the Homeless Children’s Education Fund works to help these children and youth break the cycle of poverty by supporting and advancing their education. This event is attended by over 300 professionals from the Pittsburgh area, and raises over $100,000 for HCEF's programs and services. The night will be full of networking, silent auction, great bites, and raising awareness and crucial funding for HCEF's mission and programs. This year, HCEF is proud to honor Evan Frazier of Highmark as the 2018 Champion for Children, Nicole Anderson as the Linda A. Dickerson Awardee, and Dr. Wilton Barber as Volunteer of the Year.
